An hour back, TV actor Pearl V Puri issued a statement about him after his arrest in the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case on June 4. Pearl V Puri was granted bail on June 15, 2021. He was arrested by the Waliv and Mumbai Police for the alleged rape of a minor girl.

As soon as the Bepannah Pyaar actor posted his statement on his Instagram handle, a lot of celebrities including his fans and followers posted comments supporting him. This includes names like Divya Khosla Kumar, Ishita Dutta, Anita Hassanandani, Suyyash Rai, Mahhi Vij, Tanvi Thakkar, Karanveer Mehra, Akanksha Puri, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Arjun Bijlani, Aamir Ali, Shraddha Arya, and others. Divya Khosla Kumar who has been showing her support to him ever since the actor was arrested in the matter commented, "Pearl we all know what the truth is & how those Shameless people made you a scapegoat in their own personal matters ...Really hope u get justice at the earliest."
Pearl's Bepannah Pyaar co-star Ishita Dutta writes, "You will get through this Pearl. The truth shall come out. Hoping everything goes back to normal soon. I know how much u and your family are going through. With u always."

The statement issued by Pearl read, "Life has its own way of testing people! I lost my Nani maa a few months back, then on her 17 days, I lost my dad. Post that my mother got diagnosed with cancer and then this ghastly accusation. The last couple of weeks were gruelling for me like a nightmare. I was, overnight made feel like a criminal. All of this in midst of my mother's cancer treatment, shattered my sense of security, making me feel helpless. I am still numb...but I felt it's time to reach out to my friends, fans and well-wishers who have showered me with their love, support and concern. Thank you for keeping faith in me and I am a firm believer of #Satyamevjatate. I trust in the law, the judiciary of my country and God up there. Please keep your dua's coming."
